Ar-ra’ytalladhi yukadhdhibu biddin?

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

Fathalika alladhi yadu’u al-yateem.

That is the one who drives away the orphan,

Wala yahuddu ‘ala ta’amil miskeen.

And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

Fawaylun lill-musallin.

So woe to those who pray,

Alladhina hum ‘an salatihim sahoon.

But are heedless of their prayer –

Alladhina hum yura’oon.

Those who make show [of their deeds],

Wayamna’oonal ma’oon.

And withhold [simple] assistance.
